Simultaneous translation
Simultaneous interpreting is a form of real-time interpreting that occurs without pauses or delays. The interpreter listens to the speaker and simultaneously interprets for the audience using special equipment (headphones, microphones, booths). It requires a high level of concentration and preparation, which is why simultaneous interpreting is only performed by experienced specialists.
