How did everything turn out?

A curious incident

When Nick was talking about his family, he said, “My wife dreams big.”

However, due to the muffled microphone connection, Vladimir, to his own surprise, heard:
“My wife drinks beer.”

The misunderstanding immediately created a slightly absurd atmosphere in the room: the guests burst out laughing, but Vladimir instantly realized he had made a serious mistake.

At that moment, a fellow interpreter was in the room. Hearing what had happened, she politely pointed out the incorrect translation to him.

Vladimir was forced to immediately go out to the audience and apologize:

"Friends, unfortunately, due to technical difficulties, I misinterpreted the phrase. The sound was very distant, and I did not hear what the speaker said. The correct translation is: ‘My wife dreams big.’ Thank you for your understanding!"
